Can the T-PESS process itself be used with assistant principals?

Any district could immediately choose to embrace the T-PESS process and growth-oriented supervision for both principals and assistant principals. The T-PESS process includes orientation, self-assessment, goal setting and professional development planning (GSPD) as well as beginning of year, middle of year and end of year conferences. This process can all be accomplished using the evaluation instrument the district is currently using for assistant principals.

As for the T-PESS rubric, this would have to be modified to fit the assistant principal job description by the given district that desires to use the T-PESS for evaluation purposes, according to Texas Education Code, 150.1028 (b).
