  1. Make appropriate modifications to ensure that the T-PESS rubric and components fit the job descriptions of the administrators who will be appraised using the modified T-PESS system.
  2. Adopt the modified T-PESS rubric and components as the local appraisal policy for assistant principals, by sending it before the board for official adoption.
Training and implementation recommendations:
  1. Principals using the modified T-PESS rubric to appraise assistant principals are strongly encouraged to participate in the two-day T-PESS training and become certified as a T-PESS appraiser.
  2. When using the modified T-PESS rubric to appraise assistant principals, the official T-PESS Evaluation System Process should be followed (i.e. Orientation, Goal Review, Beginning of Year Conference (Goal Approval), Informal Assessment, Mid-Year Conference, End of Year Conference and Goal Setting).
